Antique suit of armor Edo Shogun period w/ Tokubetsu-Kicho Certificate

Stunning suit of authentic armor from early Edo period (1600s). Cuirass is made out of iron and finished with leather, gold leaves, and multiple colored silk braid lacings. The iron Eboshi-nari kabuto or "Shogun hat shaped" helmet is very difficult to be handcrafted. Kabuto also heatures a long wooden headerboard. Genuine gold leaves are used for many parts of this suit. Kebiki or "hair-spread" style braid lacing covering whole surface of cuirass is one of the most beautiful feature of this armor. Registered as Tokubetsu Kicho paper "Important historical armor" by The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armor. The original storage box, display stand, and all pieces shown in the catalogue come with.
