Antique suit of armor Edo Shogun period w/ Tokubetsu-Kicho Certificate

Stunning suit of armor from Edo period (1600-1800s). Cuirass is made out of iron and covered with leather and gold leaves. Chest armor has a beautiful Dragon Makie decoration. The kabuto helmet is finished with 16 hand-spliced iron plates, and features very remarkable header board and side horns. Neck guard is made of iron and leather finished with genuine gold leaves. Registered as Tokubetsu Kicho paper "Important historical armor" by The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armor. The original storage box, display stand, and all pieces shown in the catalogue come with.
